Noda City Folk Museum

It is a real museum built in the prefecture for the first time in 1959.

It contains soy sauce related materials and historical

and folklore materials on the hometown as main exhibits and collections.

Noda City Folk Museum opened as the first registered museum in Chiba prefecture in 1945.
It has a collection representative of the museum,
including Oshiehengaku "Noda Soy Sauce Brewing Picture" (Meiji Period) by Katsu Bunsai
and Hengaku （temple's name tablet displayed on the gate）” Gohonmaru Nishihonmaru Goyou" (Edo period).
02Noda City Civic Hall
The mansion of Mr. Saheiji Mogi, Noda's soy sauce brewer was built around 1924, was donated
to Noda City in October 1954, and was opened as a citizen's welfare facility in 1956.
The building, along with the tea room "Syojuan" on the premises, is designated as
the country registration tangible cultural properties,
and the entire site centering on the garden as the country registration monument.
03Communication linking people to people
In addition to special exhibitions and rotating exhibits as a base for the local community,
Noda City is carrying out, as its characteristic initiatives, a participatory exhibition, Terakoya (the old temple school) lecture,
a career design consecutive course, a parent-child course, a concert in the museum, tea ceremony, and a city sightseeing business.
