run by the Edo bakufu (Japanese feudal government headed by a shogun).

Meigen Bunko Collection is a private library having mainly materials of modern haiku poetry,
based on the book collection of both Mr. Gaifu Kawai the former organizer
and Mr. Bin Akio the present organizer of Jiku Haiku-kai.

"Jiku" is a Haiku-kai formed in 1964, continuing to publish the monthly haiku journal "Jiku".
Its organizer is Mr. Bin Akio, its president Mr. Toshihiko Tarutani,
and its editor-in-chief Mr. Takeo Nakamura.
